Back To Basics

My anxiety is so high today that I am hardly functional.

When this happens, I count the very basic as achievements.

Tomorrow will come soon enough. Today is no guarantee that tomorrow will be the same. One, two, three.

    I’m having an off day too (although by the sound of it, not as off of a day as you’re having), and this just made me ridiculously happy. I’ve slept, eaten, and taken my meds, and seeing that I’ve done these things makes me feel so much better about getting up late and all the other things I didn’t do today. :hug: You are a successful and beautiful person!

      Thank you, Aurora! I love this coping strategy, because even when my mind is racing, I still get to feel successful. If I cover the basics; everything else can wait until I feel better. But I won’t feel better unless I eat, sleep and take meds. That’s why those “small” tasks count so much!

    I have PND and 2 small children, most days are pretty good now with treatment but I know those bad days well. I hope that tomorrow was better and that the days since have been ok too x
